Senior Data Scientist

ATRA is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to transform business challenges into analytical solutions and predictive models, supporting strategic decisions in areas such as credit, collections, sales, operations, and customer retention.

Responsibilities:

• Work together with business areas to understand challenges and structure analytical problems.
• Collect, process, explore, and analyze large volumes of data.
• Develop and validate predictive and Machine Learning models.
• Perform feature engineering and selection to enhance model performance.
• Conduct A/B testing, causal analyses, and statistical validations.
• Monitor model performance and propose adjustments or re-training.
• Support the deployment and industrialization of models in production environments.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, results, and developed processes.
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, Technology, and business teams.
• Prepare analyses, presentations, and recommendations for executive audiences.
• Contribute to governance, quality, and responsible use of data and models.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist at a senior level.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, processing, and modeling.
• Experience in developing, validating, and monitoring Machine Learning models.
• Advanced knowledge in statistics, causal inference, A/B testing, and model evaluation metrics.
• Experience with feature engineering and selection.
• Experience with data preparation, exploration, processing, and quality.
• Knowledge of code versioning with Git.
• Ability to turn business problems into analytical solutions.
• Knowledge of models applied to risk, propensity, churn, collections, pricing, or customer retention.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical analyses and results to executive audiences and business areas.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Advanced Python, including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and equivalent libraries;
• Advanced SQL;
• Statistics, probability, and statistical inference;
• Machine Learning;
• Feature engineering and selection;
• A/B testing and causal analysis;
• Model evaluation and performance metrics;
• Data preparation, exploration, processing, and quality;
• Git;
• Documentation of models, methodologies, assumptions, and technical results.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
  Knowledge of Databricks, Spark, or technologies for processing large volumes of data;
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker;
  Knowledge of MLOps practices, including versioning, deployment, and monitoring;
• Experience with Jupyter, Docker, and APIs for model serving;
• Knowledge of Generative AI, language models, and RAG solutions;
• Familiarity with governance, explainability, security, and responsible use of models;
• Postgraduate degree or certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or cloud technologies.

Work Model:

• Hybrid Model: 3 days a week in-office – Alphaville, Barueri/SP
